Blueskin Nurseries is one of the most sustainable garden centre and cafe operations in New Zealand. We strive to lead the way running a self-sufficient garden centre and café.
Our goal is to grow, produce and sell according to sustainable principles. We minimise our environmental footprint by creating awareness of our environmental impact among our staff, customers and suppliers and adopting sustainable practices throughout our business. It is a relaxed café with a large outdoor garden area opening into the surrounding garden centre. We are committed to reducing fossil fuel usage and carbon emissions. In 2014 we made one of our biggest investments in renewable energy installing an array of 40 solar panels which generate solar power to run the café, garden centre & Road Side Attraction. It is proving to be very successful and on a summer’s day we are generating enough electricity to power about 60-70% of all activities.
We offer a great selection products from an edible garden to building an arboretum, we have what you need.
Located just 15 minutes north of Dunedin on State Highway 1 & Harvey Street in Waitati. Visit us for all your garden needs.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
