Grading Guide
With selling growing products we specify our grade of plant by their bag/pot size. The height of the plant does not always correlate with bag size – it varies depending on species and the length of time the plant has been potted into a particular bag.
All our pot sizes are either in litres of Pint bags.
A "PB" is a black polythene planter bag which is used to grow the plant in. PB stands for Pint bags. 1 Pint = 600ml, as a rough guide multiply the PB number by .6 to get the volume in litres of the bag. The number on a PB bag signifies the volume which is measured in pints of soil.
Below is a list of the actual bag measurement of the PB's we use most often and a conversion of pints to litres of soil they hold
- PB 5 140mm x 140mm equivalent to 3Ltrs of soil
- PB 12 210mm x 185mm equivalent to 10Ltrs of soil
- PB 18 250mm x 210mm equivalent to 12Ltrs of soil
